Our Story
It all started when…
Hi everyone, thanks so much for visiting our website! My name is Amie.
About 13 years ago I had a newborn, no energy and felt that struggle of mum life already taking over my life. I found my happy place in fitness in a group surrounding. I then had that taken away as my life became 'busy' and nothing in my area offered a safe, fun, supportive environment for me to workout in a group and bring my kids along.
Five years later, I decided to invest back in myself and do what I was passionate about! Health and fitness and helping other Mum's, Dad's and anyone get their sexy back, physically, mentally and literally.
My Vision was to create a fun and unique fitness experience on our family farm.
This meant creating a space that felt not only good to workout in but also inviting, supportive, social, and child friendly.
And then Be Farm Fit was born! July 2016 we invested in a shed, aka, gym and now we have over 100 clients and an amazing community!
Please reach out with any questions or come along and experience the difference of Be Farm Fit yourself!
XOXO
Amie
MEET THE TEAM
Kahlia - Personal Trainer
I am a Mum of four kids who loves living an active life. I started on my fitness journey at 17 where I joined a gym and started participating in the Group Fitness Classes. I. LOVED. IT! My greatest love soon became Pre-choreographed group fitness. Having a background in dance, I loved that I could get a great workout whilst moving to the music.
After having my first two children, knowing how hard it was to get back into a healthy physical lifestyle, I decided to knuckle down and work towards my Certificate 3 and 4 in fitness. I am qualified in Group Fitness and Personal Training. I spent three great years working in Gyms as a personal trainer, mainly focusing on Pre-choreographed classes (doing what I love!). I am now having a blast running classes for Be farm fit where my kids can come, mingle with other kids and see their mum looking after herself, something I feel is so important. I love to encourage others to make themselves a priority and it brings me so much joy to see other women and men making time in their day to strengthen their body and mind through exercise.
Ben - Group Trainer
Hey guys, I’m Ben, one of the trainers in the BFF team .
I’m a dad to 4 girls Poppy, Rosie, Daisy and Sunny and husband to Bon. I’m a maintenance fitter by trade and work as the head engineer of a coal mining screening company Monday to Friday. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been active. I grew up racing motocross every weekend, surfing and playing footy.
When I started my trade at 17 and had less spare time, I continued to stay active playing touch footy, OzTag and going for a surf. I started my weight lifting journey roughly 7 years ago. I figured out pretty quickly it was not only something I enjoyed doing, but I was really interested in the science behind body building and also nutrition. Over this time, I’ve tried lots of different diets to gain size, fallen off the train and eaten too much Maccas, but I’ve always come back to correct nutrition and training because I love feeling fit and healthy. I started training at BFF in October 2018. My wife had just had number 3 and wanted to try group fitness, so I decided to go along with her for support. When I started, I tried out everything that BFF has to offer (including Step and Strong with Kahlia), and found pretty quickly that the gym offered more than anywhere else I had trained. I continued to lift weights and found that BFF classes complimented my own fitness goals. It also allowed me to be competitive and fit in with my lifestyle too; Bon and I had found a place that we could train together without having to worry about booking our kids into a crèche or having them watched.
Because of my continued interest in the logistics behind fitness, I decided to do my Cert III + IV in fitness, and the rest is history I’m looking forward to working alongside the members of BFF to achieve their fitness goals. I’ll be running class on a Thursday evening where we will be focusing predominantly on lifting weights and making gain.
Stoked to be smashing 2021 and years to come with you all at BFF.
Nicole - Personal Trainer
Hi I'm Nic (Niccas), a trainer at Be Farm Fit. I'm a mum to three girls, a teenager 😬, 10 & 5! My husband Matt works FIFO and you'll sometimes see him at Be Farm Fit on his days off!
I'm a pretty chilled person who likes to hang with my family at the beach and watch the sunset. Footy is also a number one in my world 🐯 😁 GO TIGERS!!
I started attending Be Farm Fit in 2017 because a friend recommended it. At the time I needed to find a place to help me discover me again. Life's a journey and many of us go through lots of ups and downs. Amie, and the BFF community helped me find my confidence and a passion that I never thought I'd have again.
My love of fitness and strength training changed my perspective on what I wanted to do in my life. I stepped out of my comfort zone and studied my cert lll & lV.
My passion is helping people set personal and achievable goals and guide them with the tools to reach them. One of the greatest feelings we have as a trainer is watching others achieve their success and smash goals.
No goal is every to big or to small. With the support and encouragement we can achieve what we put our minds to.
Alicia - Group Trainer
My name is Alicia and I am a group fitness trainer at BFF. I am a happily married mum of three very active boys 13, 12 and 10. I work full time as a primary school teacher and enjoy running group fitness classes outside of school. I have been apart of BFF for many years now. I started out as a client and loved being apart of the BFF community. This enjoyment lead me to studying my group fitness instructor course when I was on uni holidays. I have always been an active person who grew up playing multiple sports at a state level. I have always loved pushing myself to my limits and discovering exactly what my body can achieve. Having being able to perform these sports at a high level has made me even more determined to help and inspire others with their heath and fitness journey. I love being able to help support and encourage others to find the love of fitness and see them being able to see exactly what they are capable off. BFF is more than just an outdoor fitness business. It is a community of like minded people who all share an interest in health and fitness and are there to support each other.
Ness - Yoga, Pilates & Barre Instructor
I’m Ness, resident Yoga, Pilates and Barre (fusion of yoga, pilates & ballet) enthusiast at BFF. I love moving my body, everything about nature, headstands, and I love being in the kitchen cooking wholesome healthy food for my tribe, and am definitely a home body. I have two high school boys, Noah and Eli, and my partner Greg and I also have two little girls, Winterlyn and Luella. We all live in Glass House Mountains, with our border collie Amber and our many honey bees I have always been into fitness and the great outdoors. The beach and the mountains have always been my happy place. Nature calms me, and all of my tribe, as does moving our bodies. My background has always been in the advertising, fitness and hospitality industries. I had restaurants with my boys’ dad, but once I became a mum, those 70/80 hour work weeks weren’t going to work for me. I’ve been lucky enough to be a stay at home mum for my kids for the last eight years, and during this time I studied to become a yoga teacher, and more recently Barre & Pilates. Currently studying Pilates Reformer also. All of these modalities I am sure will keep me fit and healthy into my later years. I lost my mum to dementia when she was just 62, so a healthy and strong body and mind is SO important to me! I do everything in my power to keep my body pure and mind strong, but do love a glass of red I went to my first yoga class in Sydney over 20 years ago, I used to run from my restaurant to class and back for dinner service. It took me months to actually relax my shoulders, then I was hooked. I have had a love for yoga and pilates for half of my life and love the strength it brings my body and how it also calms my mind and makes me look within. I love Barre and Pilates for it’s low impact yet high intensity burn, and although it can be fun and noisy, it is still a mindful practise which always clears my mind. I love helping people to strengthen their bodies and find their happy place on the mat or at the barre. I joined BFF for the October Challenge in 2019, after thinking about doing it for at least 12 months. I don’t like stepping out of my comfort zone since I became a mum, something changed .. but when I finally do, I’m always left wondering why it took me so long!! The team and members made me feel so comfortable from the minute I stepped in. Such an amazing community!! Aime later asked me to teach a yoga class, stepping out of my comfort zone again, and I did, and I loved it, and I finally found my calling. Pilates, Barre and Yoga are amazing to help strengthen and lengthen your muscles from head to toe, can help reduce joint pain and stiffness, improve posture, balance and mobility, increase flexibility, and relieve stress and tension. There are modifications to suit every body. It’s AMAZING!! I am inspired by so many people, places and things, and I love everything about the community that is Be Farm Fit. Love, Ness xx
